Floss Office Status

You blink your eye and there are new FLOSS office projects. First, LibreOffice is clearly splitting between Document foundation and Collabora Online/Desktop. See also current discussion on that here and here. In the meantime, OnlyOffice are forked to Euro-Office. The main reason is to get European digital sovereignty. Lots of users’ confusion ahead soon, I’m afraid. Some people still use and install OpenOffice, even though it’s dead effectively.

A new Prague-based AI-security startup https://aisle.com develops a model tailored at finding vulnerabilities in large software projects. Free service for important OSS projects, paid for closed-source. I should, as OpenAI suggests, have exported important conversations regularly, kept systematic offline backups and avoided experimenting with data settings without knowing the consequences.”
